Defining change management
Released: September 23, 2009

When you say the words "change management," you can never be sure what the person you are talking to thinks of. They may think of software or hardware version control, particularly if they are from the IT world. They may think of how to mange changes to scope or schedule, particularly if they are from the project management world. Or they may think you mean communication and training. This tutorial provides a framework for defining change management as managing the people side of change, relative to "the change" and to project management. The tutorial examines scopes, tools, processes, customization and integration.
